Your Tour Starts in the Great Court

If you are fortunate enough to be able to visit the British Museum and do the tour physically rather than virtually then this is what you need to know.

The tour takes place at the British Museum, Great Russell St, London, and lasts between 90 mins and 2hrs. The tour starts at the Court Café near the West Stairs where suitable beverage and refreshment is recommended before you start. If approaching from the main entrance in Great Russell Street the cafe area is in the far-left hand, North West, corner of the Great Court.

Comfortable shoes are advised and  reading glasses if needed.  You may need to do a bit of searching & asking the museum staff to help you find the appropriate display cases as they are not all clearly numbered.
